Q&A
How much has it flown?
Not much. Its flown about 8.5 hrs since its 2019 Condition inspection. The airplane only has Approx 205 HRS TOTAL TIME since it was built in 1982! I was preparing to campaign this airplane in IAC Intermediate category competition, but due to issues with how I fit into the airplane, I decided against it.
Log Books
Log books are complete and thorough from day 1. It has been maintained by Jake's Air Repair since 2017.
What does it need?
I have not flow it much. I'm just too tall for it. It has been well maintained and as far as we know there are no issues with it. New Odyssey battery was installed. It has flown a few times in July 2022 with no issues.
How many owners?
Best I can tell, 5. The builder in AZ until 2001. 2001-2006 in AZ. In 2007-2014 to MT . Sold In 2015 to an owner in California and again Sold in CA in 2017 to the current owner.
Reason for selling?
The owner works too much in the summer to fly it and winter is a bad time for a biplane. He realizes his mission has changed and would rather someone fly it than just keep it in the back of the hangar.
Can I fly it?
I cannot demo this airplane for you. I don't fit in the front seat, heck I don't fit in the back seat! However we are willing to work with the buyer to allow them to fly the airplane if we hold the purchase in escrow. If the buyer is not satisfied, we can release the funds from escrow.
Will you ferry it?
No. For a few reasons, mainly as the broker, I don't want to have too many contingencies associated with the sale.
As a pilot, I don't fit in it and don't want to do it! We can put you in contact with a few pilots that have flow this airplane and you can coordinate with them.
Can I have pre- buy done?
Of course! You should! I always recommend a pre-buy. No matter who does it or what it entails, you should have someone that knows more than you evaluate the airplane!
We finished the condition inspection in mid May, and all discrepancies were addressed. She needs a bath and some gas and to be flown!
If you chose to send a mechanic or a representative to look at the airplane, please call and coordinate with us ahead of time.
